ENVOI  (ISSN 0897-4888) appears twice a year, in Spring and Autumn issues. Volumes 6, 7, 8, and onward have been published by Envoi Publications, now based in Wilmington College, OH. Volumes 1, 2, and 3 have been published by AMS Press, Inc., 56 East 3th Street, New York, NY 10003. Since its inception in 1988, Envoi has been produced in association with the Department of English at the University of Central Arkansas and the Department of English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University, although it is now an independent journal.

Envoi  publishes notices, reviews, and review essays, as well as a list of "Books Received." The editors welcome suggestions for reviews and essay topics, but no unsolicited manuscripts will be accepted. Notices, reviews, and essays assigned and submitted are still subject to acceptance by the editors. Assigned reviewers will receive the Envoi guidelines for submission.

Envoi  welcomes responses from authors of books reviewed and Letters to the Editor; these are subject to editing (with the author's prior approval). Responses and letters, along with all editorial and advertising correspondence, should be addressed to
